The Arkansas Math and Literacy Frameworks, and the myriad Student Learning Expectations (SLEs) they contain, serve as the foundation of instruction in state classrooms. Yet sometimes translating these SLEs into classroom instruction can pose difficulties for many teachers. Textbooks offer some guidance, yet the materials they contain are often not sufficient to ensure that skills are being taught at the appropriate depth and level of rigor.
Thus TLI is offering users a series of Frameworks Supplements that will hopefully help to clarify certain skill types, to provide additional information about SLEs, and to provide some measure of guidance as to how SLEs might be tested (particularly on TLI’s Interim Assessments). |
